Staff, Hours and Extras
Our Staff/Class Size
St. Bart’s Preschool is fortunate to have a qualified, dedicated and caring staff. Our teachers are dedicated to providing an excellent foundation for a lifetime of learning and are committed to sharing the joy and love of learning with young children. All of our teachers meet the state requirements for Early Childhood Education units and actively participate in continued educational courses. All are CPR and First Aid certified and have passed a rigorous background check. We maintain a maximum class size of 10 children in our 2’s program (1:5 ratio) and 12 children (1:6 ratio) in our 3’s, 4’s and Pre-K programs. Each class has a qualified teacher and an assistant.
Hours and Calendar
All of our regular classes meet from 8:30 to 11:30 am. We offer drop-off from 8:15-8:30 and pick-up is at 11:30.
Our school year begins on the Tuesday following Labor Day. Our program generally follows the schedule of the Poway Unified School District with certain exceptions. Click here to see the current calendar.
Extra Programs and Services
These extra programs and services are not available for two-year old students.
Early Drop-Off: For your convenience, you may drop off your child for some supervised play time. Early Drop Off Program is offered Monday through Friday 7:30 – 8:15 AM at a cost per day of $10.00. Parents may sign up upon arrival or in advance, this program is available to children enrolled in our 3’s, 4’s, and Pre-K/TK classes.
Lunch Bunch: Your child can bring a packed lunch to school and enjoy an extra hour and a half (11:30 am – 1:00 pm) of supervised play for a fee of $15.00.
Enrichment Classes: Throughout the year, your child can participate in special programs during the lunch bunch period. These include age-appropriate science, art, literature, gymnastics, and other sports programs, and creative movement classes. These enrichment classes are offered at an additional fee.
Summer Camps: We offer several week-long theme camps during the summer.
